Hodnoty ako orientácia v riešení rodinných vzťahov

The merit of the paper is the selected changes in the family in connection with the changes brought by
postmodern society and their reflection in value orientations and preferences. Values are analyzed as
a compass for one›s own actions (including the target value of actors), as well as for the evaluation of
the actions of others (including the intensity of sanctions and stigmatization of actions outside the given institutional framework). Empirical data are obtained from the international comparative longitudinal research European Values Study, which maps the value development in Slovakia and the Czech Republic since 1991.
