Synopsis

This textbook provides a theoretical foundation in atomic spectroscopy and comprehensive information on most of the methods currently used in practice, with the amount of text devoted to each method roughly corresponding to its prevalence in practice. Selected methods are thus described in detail, including methodological approaches to analysis, as there is a high probability that students will encounter them in practice; in contrast, some chapters are essentially informational in nature and serve to supplement students’ general understanding of the subject matter.
